DOUBLETAKE
is a photographic experiment combining the convenience of global communication with happy snapping.
The contained images are the result of recording the day, by shooting thirty-six shots,
one every twenty minutes from morning to night, then rewinding the film and mailing it to a distant friend who is asked to repeat the process. Over one hundred individuals from around the world exposed around 1800 frames.
The concept of Doubletake inspired the authors Judith Hermann and Gregor Sander to develop a literary equivalent: They swapped one day in their lives and wrote two exclusive short stories about their experiences.
